Class Syllabus
- “Brush Up” (review proper brush care)
- Learn how to properly use and load flat brushes, scriptliner, and the scruffy brush
- Learn the strokes to paint vines, leaves, small roses, wisteria, and curlicues
- Paint project as time permits
Pre-Class Prep:
- Purchase all the supplies before class
- With your paid registration, Michael’s would like to offer you 10% off your class supplies
Supply List:
Suggested Surface:
- Gift bag or gift box, scrapbook paper, stationery, etc.
Brushes:
- 1059 Plaid One Stroke Value Pack Brushes (best value)
For this project we will be using ¾” and #12 flat brushes, and #2 script liner
Plaid Folk Art Paints:
- 901 Wicker White
- 514 Violet Pansy
- 924 Thicket
- 434 Berry Wine
Plaid Folk Art Mediums & Tools:
- 868 Folk Art Floating Medium
- 1060 One Stroke Brush Basin or any brush basin
- OPTIONAL One Stroke Worksheet Pack # 1006 – Cabbage Roses
Basic Supplies From Home:
- Class registration receipt
- Paper and pencil for note taking
- Paper towels
- 5-10 Styrofoam plates–undivided and not paper
- Apron or similar, to protect clothing from splatters (optional, but highly recommended)
