• Glass surface such as the glass pane from an old picture frame, this will be used as a practice surface

• OPTIONAL: Corresponding paints in Folk Art acrylic paints (since the enamel paints are more expensive, we’ll learn the strokes in the regular acrylic paints, if you don’t already have the corresponding colors or similar, purchasing them is optional as the instructor will have extra on hand)

• A primer on the angular brush
• Explore project ideas
• Learn the strokes to paint branches, pinecones and holly berries
• Learn to paint a variety of pine needles styles
• Learn to paint simple snow clumps
• Learn the spattering/flecking technique
• Paint project as time permits

VERY IMPORTANT: Basecoat Surface (call me with any questions-659-1581)

1. In order to complete the project in class, basecoating the surface in advance is very important.

2. Basecoat terra cotta pot using ¾” flat brush and apply at least two coats using Warm White. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next. NOTE: If your coats are thin, you may need a third coat to achieve opaque coverage.
