Class Syllabus

  • “Brush Up” (review proper brush care)
  • Learn how to properly use and load scriptliner, scruffy and flat brushes
  • Learn how to create a rusted tin finish
  • Learn how to use the dry brush technique
  • Learn the strokes to paint frosty and his fine feathered friend
  • Paint and assemble a project as time permits

Pre-Class Prep:

  • Purchase all the supplies before class
  • With your paid registration, Michael’s would like to offer you 10% off your class supplies

Surface Prep:

  • 1. Remove label and glue residue.
  • 2. If possible–but not necessary–drill two holes at the top of the heart, using a 5/64” drill bit or larger.

  • 1059 Plaid One Stroke Value Pack Brushes (best value) For this project we will be using #6, & #2 flat brushes, #2 scriptliner, and small scruffy

  • Paper and pencil for note taking
  • Paper towels
  • 5-10 Styrofoam plates–undivided and not paper
  • Apron or similar, to protect clothing from splatters (optional, but highly recommended)
